RADOME - Radar and Millimeter Waves

The Radar and Millimeter Waves Lab carries out research, teaching, and technology transfer activities. These are pursued in the fields of radar and active systems, computational electromagnetics, microwave and millimeter-waves antenna systems design and optimization.

Two synergic Research Groups belong to the laboratory:

Radar and Active Remote Sensing Systems

  • Radar Signal Processing and Waveform Design
  • Weather Radars
  • Radar Polarimetry
  • Inversion Methods for Remote Sensing of the Atmosphere
  • Tomography for Estimating Rainfall and Pollution
  • Opportunity Signals for Rainfall Remote Sensing

Microwave and Millimeter Wave Systems

  • Numerical Modeling of Antennas in Complex Environments (MLFMA, MlayAIM, SFX)
  • Antennas for Automotive Applications
  • Multiband Antennas for Railway Applications
  • THz Detectors and Metallo-Dielectric Waveguides
  • 77GHz Antennas for MIMO Radar Applications
  • High-Gain Planar Antennas (RLSA, SIW, Reflectarray, Metasurface Antennas)
  • 3D Printed Microwave and Millimeter Wave Antennas
