Information

Registration is through a self-nomination process. In the self-nomination form, we asked for some information about the interest of possible participants and the title(s) of topic(s) on which they were willing to give short (5-8 minutes, 5-slide) informal presentations to stimulate the discussion that is the objective of the meeting.

Because this is a discussion meeting and attendance is limited to about 70 people, the organizers have determined the final composition of the group, making the best effort possible to accommodate all those who wished to come.

Registration

All those who submitted the Self-nomination form are requested to register by April 30, 2001.

You may apply for registration by downloading the complete registration form in PDF format. You can fill in this form on your PC, print and sign it, then fax or mail it to us with your payment. Reception of each self-nomination form will be acknowledged by e-mail.

You will not be charged until the accommodation you have requested is confirmed. If it is not possible to satisfy your accommodation preference you will be informed about possible alternatives.

Cancellations are only possible before May 20, 2001 and will carry a 100 Euro administrative fee.

Registration fees

The cost of attending includes three-night accommodation and food, as well as the ground transportation from Florence to Artimino, on Sunday afternoon, and from Artimino to Florence, on Wednesday afternoon.

Accommodation details

Spouse fee includes all meals and 3 nights' accommodation in a double occupancy room at Paggeria Medicea, or in an apartment, shared with a registered senior participant.

Single and double occupancy rooms are at the Hotel Paggeria Medicea, right in front of the Villa Medicea where the Conference room is located. Please note that only a few number of Hotel rooms are available.

Apartments typically include a living room with 1-2 beds and a separate bedroom with 1-2 beds. All apartments are situated in the ancient village of Artimino, at a walking distance (about 300 mt) from the Conference room.

Please note that the number of available single rooms is limited. Those who do not have particular reasons for refusing to share their room with other attendee(s), are warmly encouraged to select the accommodation in double occupancy or apartment rooms. On the registration forms, it is possible to indicate the name(s) of persons who are willing to share the room with you.
