The Steering and Self-Evaluation Committee (CIA) is an internal advisory body of the Department with consultative and proposal functions.
Its role is to support the Department’s governing bodies in defining policies for the allocation of resources and in guiding scientific research, technology transfer, and innovation activities.
The members of the Steering and Self-Evaluation Committee of the Department of Information Engineering are appointed by the Department Council upon proposal of the Head of the Department, ensuring, as far as possible, balanced representation of the scientific disciplinary sectors within the Department.
Members serve a four-year term and may be reappointed only once consecutively.

The Research and Technology Transfer Committee promotes and supports the Department’s research activities and scientific production. It works to strengthen the quality and scope of the Department’s research and third-mission activities.
The Committee contributes to the definition and coordination of research structures and initiatives, including laboratories, research units, and strategic agreements, and supports the allocation of research funding and research grants. It also fosters relations with external partners and collaborates with other departmental committees and University administrative bodies on matters related to research, evaluation, and technology transfer.
